Dr. Joy and Njoro spend some time cycling  and it quickly becomes clear that it's not really his thing.

It’s the day of Makena’s funeral. The preparations bring back painful memories from Njoro’s hit and run accident. The rides of the day are not helping. Njoro hopes to attend the funeral and go home with Stacy and Mwajuma, his anchors, but a phone call from his past brings everything crashing down.

Makena has been Njoro’s regular passenger for some time now. He has seen her struggle with cancer. They both knew the inevitable ending. But it’s not any easier when it does come.

Njoro makes a decision. For his sanity and Stacy’s safety. It haunts him. His rides through the day convince him his dwelling on the past is holding him back from truly being alive.

Njoro struggles with his parenting style in as far as disciplining Stacy. He tries to stand up to Mela’s but realizes he is no match for a man who will go to any lengths to get his way.

Njoro and Stacy embark on finding a housekeeper to watch over Stacy and help with the house chores. And he gets an interesting surprise when purity visits from Nairobi.

After weeks of wondering, Njoro reaches out to Cess. The ensuing conversation is not what he was hoping for, but it gives him the push he needs to hopefully start over.

Stacy's excitement of living with her dad is short-lived after she ends up spending time alone at home during the day. Then Njoro's colleague Furaha comes to his rescue.

Stacy and Njoro seem to have fallen into a routine. They are happy to finally be together. Cess is a distant memory in Njoro’s past and he finally seems to have met a sane girl with more than a passing interest in him.
