Pirates have turned the Indian Ocean into a battleground, and the residents of Amu are paying the price.

Dula knows this all too well. He was tasked with transporting Nasoro’s valuable cargo goods across the waters, but he never made it. The pirates struck swiftly, their dhow slicing through the waters like a silent predator. Armed with rifles and eyes filled with greed, they took everything…

Dula barely escaped with his life.

Now, Nasoro fumes with rage: his goods are gone, and with them, the hope of a thriving business. Fishermen no longer dare to set sail, their boats rotting by the shore. The ocean, once their friend, is now an enemy. No fish means no food. No trade means no survival. Hunger and despair grip the residents.

But the worst was yet to come.

Dula and Singi were on their way back, trying to find a way to fight back against the pirates. They never saw the ambush coming. A gang of masked men, their faces hardened by a life of crime, blocked their path. The two men fought bravely, but the pirates were ruthless. Dula was left with wounds on both his body and his pride. Singi, on the other hand, lost something far worse: his peace.

Ever since that night, Singi has not known restful sleep. Every time he closes his eyes, he sees their faces – the cold eyes of the pirates, the flash of blades, the sound of gunfire. He wakes up drenched in sweat, the screams of that night still ringing in his ears. Fear has wrapped itself around his soul, suffocating him.

The town is trapped in a nightmare. Their ocean is no longer theirs. Their livelihood has been stolen. The question that lingers on everyone’s lips is simple but terrifying: Will they ever be free?
