This February, Maisha Magic fans are set to enjoy the following Multichoice Talent Factory (MTF) movies: Deadbeat and The Immersive Alarm.
Deadbeat is a bitter-sweet film about family complexities and forgiveness. It follows the journey of Nick Irungu, a young professional whose life takes an unexpected turn after the death of his estranged father, Michael. The story begins at a bizarre funeral where the dead man’s body literally falls out of a disintegrating casket, setting the tone for the chaotic events to follow.
Nick, who is already struggling with his career and his relationship with his mother, is forced to face his father's legacy. He discovers that his father did not just leave behind memories, but also a mountain of unresolved issues, such as an unclaimed burial site and estranged half-siblings.
The Immersive Alarm is a fantasy adventure that pushes the boundaries of creativity: it combines immersive storytelling, dynamic characters, and breathtaking visuals to transport audiences into a world where imagination and reality blend seamlessly.
Catch Deadbeat when it airs on Sunday 9 February at 9:30 pm on Maisha Magic Plus, available on DStv channel 163 and GOtv 3 and on Sunday 23 February at 9 pm on Maisha Magic East, available on DStv channel 158 and GOtv 2.
